Viceregal Lodge
The earstwhile Viceregal Lodge in India’s summer capital, Shimla, which is now converted into Indian Institute of Advanced Studies served as a summer retreat for India’s Viceroys during the Raj. It was witness to the crucial India-Pakistan partition talks which were held here. Still, the summer rsidence of India’s president, the ‘Rashtrapati Nilayam’, is located within the premises

Its located at distance from Shimla’s city centre, but you can walk till there, if youre used to walking. Apart from the majestic building, it has well maintianed lawns and a small cafetaria. Guided tours are also organised at an economical fee where you are given details of the architecture, the furniture and the history.
Bhagsunag Waterfalls
Climbing half a mountain with tracking paths, although a little tiring but gives a spectacular and satisfying view of Bhagsunag Falls. While on way, enjoy the views of beautiful stones which delineate a valley which could have been a connecting river once. Generally it is dry in March-April and waits for the onset of rainy season to gush again. Even after you reach there after breathtaking climb, just a view of this huge fall and its scenic surroundings takes away all the fatigue and fills you with energy again.
Hot and brewing coffee by the side of falls adds to the pleasure. Local dhabas there offers other snacks like tea, pakodas, cigerattes etc.
Kinnaur
On the verges of Indo-Tibetan border, encircled by Tibet to the east and mighty Garhwal Himalyan to the south lies the breathtaking view of Kinnaur valley. This tremendously beauteous district, about 200 KM from Shimla, gives gigantic and appealing views of Satluj carving deep ravines through the high mountains. The Satluj, from the southern slopes of divine Kailash mountain near the holy Mansarover in Tibet , flows through Kinnaur bringing in a breath of Kailash. Very light rainfall and raveged countryside if of the measure of Leh and Ladakh region.  To add to its beauty and serenity one can see a gompa temple in every village here. With a very kind and simple people it becomes a very tourist friendly place. The Old-Hindustan – Tibet road also gets it way through Kinnaur valley. Going by the ancient villages of Wungtu, Sarhan, Pangi, Puh and Sungra all along the bank or Satluj the road lastly gives way to the Tibet at Shipki La Pass.
Tattapani
Tattapani, amid the picturesque surrounding, is an ideal place to rejuvenate your spirits lost in your daily hectic chores. Its vast springs on the Sutlej banks cover around one square kilometer area. The hot springs of Sutlej are famous for its curing and invigorating properties.  Its natural sulpur is so pure and medicinal that just dip relieves people from various ailments likes of joint pains, fatigue and skin diseases. The water temperature keeps varying as the water level of the river shifts. It attracts people from far and near.
Rohtang Pass
Rohtang Pass situated on highway to Keylong/Leh, 51kms away from Manali, which offers serene beauty of nature, where your eyes will capture the fascinating views of massive glaciers, snow covered mountains, and deodar forest. Though the weather of Rohtang pass is simply unpredictable, you can even witness snow in summers, still you can enjoy various adventure sports here like skiing, Para Gliding, Water Rafting, Trekking etc.
Solang Valley, Kothi, Rahala Waterfalls, Rohla Waterfalls, are some of the excursions from Rhtang Pass.
