Overview: : The beginning of weekend, when we leave Delhi and it's concrete to greet while we comprehend some
freely available air-conditioning and mineral water, courtesy of mother earth...Then we spend the whole day just breathing deeply and lazying around gathering energy... for a long... dark... pleasantly chilling night at an obscure temple, of-course with the blessings of a fire that we will build... and the reflections of ourselves as individuals and as a generation...as we dwell upon in the flames...
What better way than to wake up to bird sounds and more frolic of the gentlest sunshine ever, hoping all of us to be, by now, 'frozen' in on the craving to explore that not so gentle terrain... till we're out of time.
Back to Delhi by Sunday's nightfall if majority feels like it... (Damn this democracy), to a guaranteed different, so called 'Monday Morning' !
I guess that's what being 'alternate' is all about. It frees the mind

Overview: : Savandurga is believed to be among the largest monolith (single rock) hills in the world. A ruined fort lies nestled near the top (hence the durg and an 'a' free in the end because you're in south India)
There are no stairs to reach it. has a history in which at a point a colonel of the Queens army called it savanidurga or 'The Fort of Death'.
There are treks to explore nearby, where the Arkavathi river passes nearby through the Thippagondanahalli reservoir and on towards Manchanabele dam.
Ride out of Bangalore's dense chaos, reach the site well before dusk, so that some exploration is done by the time base camp is set.
relax, enjoy and forget everything 'routine'
Spend time under the open sky, near the ruins and at base camp connecting with the zone till sleep calls you in one of our tents.
Waking up early morning should be no trouble with the light and the birds.
when we can do quick nearby explorations before we pack up base camp and ride on to see the dam and reservoir in all it's glory...
...only to recall the electricity of the experience.
Ride back... lunch en route. if you feel like returning... that is.

Overview: “From the beginning to the end…”
One year is a long enough timeline, might not be apparently radical enough in terms of its consequences.
However, it is enough to change perspectives, shake mindsets, and demolish or at least partially ruin traditional beliefs…
Another year is almost over… the year that 78mmadventures came into existence.
One might ask, what’s there to celebrate about a repetitive loop which is older than someone pointing to a point on an ellipse and saying:
this = 0 = 365.242… how "wierd", but so be it; especially when pre-industrial petro-alchemy is no longer distinguishable from algorithmic Frankenstein finance; That thought process is a downward spiral, heading the way of the sensex?
And leading national newspapers are giving front page space to petty facts in bold headlines such as “Lightning kills more people than Terror!” Funny, isn’t it? But rationality does not determine the true value of most things, including human lives, most of the times. Are we supposed to be terrorized…? Guess not!
In our mystical awe of irrationality, we at 78mm adventures are up to something, thinking that Counterintuitive actions might lead us to more self discoveries, we're trying to create the event for us to celebrate these grim times. Lets burn the gloom.
The Wilderness has called, in time so Ya’ll can get your plans in place for your space at the bash.
We’re now going to crank up the ignition
